IntentBundle

Cookies and storage

Version 1.0, effective 28 October 2026

This page lists what IntentBundle stores on a visitor's device. It is meant for merchants, so you can complete your own cookie policy and cookie banner, and for visitors who want to know what happens.

1. This website

intentbundle.com sets no cookies and uses no trackers. Fonts and scripts come from our own server.

2. In a store that uses IntentBundle

NameTypePurposeDuration

ib:vidLocal storageA random code, only used to keep a visitor in the same group during an A/B testUntil the visitor clears browser data
ib:plangLocal storageThe language the bundle is shown inUntil the visitor clears browser data
ib_sess_*, ib_exit_*Session storageTracking whether the bundle was already shown this session, so it does not keep coming backUntil the tab closes
_ib_xp and ib:xtagsCookie and local storageOnly during an A/B test: the visitor's group, so an order counts for the right group. Only set if the visitor consented to analytics (through Shopify's cookie banner).90 days
_ib_bundle, _ib_gift, _ib_c, _ib_expCart attributes (not a cookie)Recognising which products belong to the bundle, for the discount and revenue figuresAs long as the cart exists

The bundle storage is needed to make the bundle the visitor is looking at work. The A/B test cookie is only set with analytics consent, which we read through Shopify's Customer Privacy API. Whether you need consent for the other storage depends on your situation and your cookie banner. As the merchant you decide this; include this table in your own cookie policy. If in doubt, ask a lawyer.

4. Clearing

A visitor can clear everything by deleting the store's browser data (cookies and site data). The bundle then starts over.
